What are the limits of privacy in the streets of a tentacular urban monster like Bangkok with an estimated population of more than 8 million? A curtain? A layer of glass? A look in the eye?
This unstaged series was shot in Thailand’s capital, along the main bus lines of the city, in particular in Sukhumvit and Chinatown areas.
Created through a purposely “voyeuristic” angle, this work questions the notion of public and private spaces in an urban environment, and the different layers and borders – physical or psychological – that define and shape those spaces.
